Water System Planning

The City of Patterson, faces the challenge of providing water for a rapidly growing community.

To assure the long-term success of the system, the city turned to The H2O Group for:

  • Water assessment studies
  • Urban water management plan
  • Well spacing study
  • Ground subsidence study
  • Brine disposal study

In addition, The H2O Group is creating a non-potable water distribution system for irrigation of parks & landscaping and is masterplanning a downtown core water pipeline replacement program.

During the Spring of 2007, The City of Patterson was concerned that the system may not be able to deliver sufficient water through the summer. The H2O Group reviewed the existing water model and determined that with a few modifications the system could meet demands. In August, however, two of the city's six wells went offline creating a systemic drop in water pressure.

The H2O Group was called and even though it was Sunday, one of our team arrived on scene a few hours later. Working through the night, the existing elements of the system were adjusted and balanced to handle the emergency.
